A twelve-year-old male child stands in the on deck circle waiting for his demote to prove to his team that he has what it takes to bring the team a victory. He walks up to the plate swinging his bat and get his stance ready for the pitch. He glances at the scoreboard, bottom of the 9th, drink down by one, two outs. Sweat drips down his face as the sun beats down on him. He pictures himself in Derek Jeters shoes when Jeter hit his walk off home run, absentminded to win this game for his team. The pitcher winds up and throws the musket ball. Crack! The ball flies to the outfield bringing the winning run in.
