The Curious Case of House and Holmes
What psychological unsoundness could both Sherlock Holmes and House view? It is none separate than Aspergers Syndrome. Asperger Syndrome is a institute of autism that instead of wish of cognitive functioning and linguistic development those affected are competent to retain both of these functions. Asperger Syndrome is believed to be caused by genes but research is not conclusive so the researchers cannot be sure. Aspergers is known as a high functioning form of autism because as the person gets older they will be able be able to understand their strengths and weaknesses, be able to observe social skills, and may even be able to attach and have children. The manifestations of Aspergers are showing an intense obsession with one or two specific narrow subjects, insensitiveness to others emotions, and speaking in a voice that is monotonous, rigid, or fast. These symptoms have helped me conclude that House and Holmes have Aspergers Syndrome.
The first symptom of Asperger syndrome is rivet interests. For House, he is only interested in symptomatic medicine, which means he diagnoses problems with people after they have been misdiagnosed by other doctors. Holmes is only focused on one thing and that is solving mysteries. Holmes molds mysteries which the police cannot solve due to their lack of observation. Then Holmes being able to coiffe upon what he has deduced, can act without regard for emotion. Sherlock Holmes uses his keen sense of observation to deduce what happened to the victims.
